Gulika (also known as Mandi) is a major mathematical sensitive point or Upagraha (sub-planet) used in Vedic Astrology. Unlike physical planets, Gulika has no tangible body - it is a shadowy, karmic point calculated based on the position and movement of Saturn.

In traditional texts (especially in South Indian astrology and Prashna or horary astrology), Gulika is considered one of the most malefic influences in a horoscope, often acting as a mini-Saturn.

Gulika represents a specific period of time during the day or night governed by Saturn.

• The day (from sunrise to sunset) and night (from sunset to sunrise) are divided into 8 equal parts.
