This Privacy Policy explains how Astro Arpita Nath (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit https://astroarpitanath.com/ (the “Site”).

The Site publishes educational content about Vedic astrology. It does not offer public user accounts, comments or online checkout. If you have questions, use our Contact page or email [email protected].

Who we are

Astro Arpita Nath is operated by Arpita Nath. The Site is an educational hub related to her work as a Vedic astrologer and founder of HinduCalculator.com.

Information we collect

Information you send us

If you email us or contact us through social media, we receive the information you choose to include (for example your name, email address and the content of your message). We use that information only to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation where needed.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and security services (including a content delivery network) may automatically receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP, referring URL, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. This is used to operate, secure and improve the Site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (for example which pages are read and roughly where traffic comes from). Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and process data on Google’s systems. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data practices.

You can limit Analytics measurement with browser tools such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, where available.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential operation — security, load balancing and basic site function.
  • Analytics — measuring traffic and content performance (Google Analytics).
  • Advertising — when Google Ads or related Google advertising products are active on the Site (see below).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

We may also use browser local storage for simple preferences (for example an owner-only analytics exclusion flag). That storage is not used to identify you for advertising.

Advertising (including Google Ads)

We may show advertising on the Site through Google Ads, Google AdSense or related Google advertising services, and we may use Google tools to measure ad performance or to reach people who have visited the Site (remarketing / similar audiences), where permitted by law and by Google’s policies.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites, and to measure how ads perform. This may include personalised advertising where allowed.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

You can manage or opt out of personalised ads from Google at Google Ads Settings. You can also visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ or the Digital Advertising Alliance page at https://optout.aboutads.info/ (availability varies by region). On many mobile devices you can limit ad tracking in the device settings.

Even if you opt out of personalised advertising, you may still see ads on the Site; those ads may be less relevant to you.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites we do not control, including HinduCalculator.com and social networks. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices. Articles may also include embedded content from third parties (for example images or media). Embedded content may collect data as if you had visited the third-party site directly.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • operate, maintain and improve the Site;
  • understand how content is used and which topics interest readers;
  • respond to messages you send us;
  • protect the Site against abuse and technical problems;
  • show and measure advertising when advertising products are enabled; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site (hosting, content delivery / security, email delivery when we reply to you);
  • Google for Analytics and, when enabled, advertising and ad measurement;
  • Authorities if we are required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, safety or the Site.

The public-facing Site does not have visitor login, comments or user-uploaded media. A private administration area is used only by site operators to publish content; it is not a public membership service.

How long we keep information

Email and message correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of those services (for example Google Analytics retention settings). Server and security logs are kept for a limited period for operations and abuse prevention.

International processing

Our service providers (including Google and our hosting / CDN providers) may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

You can also control cookies in your browser, use Google’s ad and Analytics opt-out tools linked above, and stop emailing us at any time.

Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we enable Google Ads or change how the Site works. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
